This is not a well put together album though it is almost as sloppy as this review. There’s nothing truly special about this album, but it does make for a good listen on hot days where you’re so pissed you’re considering taking Vietnamese hostages and beating them severely. So in the end, Nailbomb is just another side project. So if by now you’re discontent, go no further. They have groove, as well as anger, and it is at this point that the album offers up everything it has. These songs mark the beginning of variety, coherency, and somewhat serious composure during the writing process, and are easily the best one’s available here. This is an album that cannot be judged by the cover, even as seeeexy as that Vietnamese chick is. You may think that songs like “For ***’s Sake” and “World of ***” and “Religious Cancer” may be the faces of a band that care not about songwriting, and are just in it for the shock value, but you’d be wrong. Just about the entire album up until “For ***’s Sake” is either sloppily thrown together, or really really simple composure. The vocals are angry, the instrumentals are heavy, what more could you want?Īs far as coherency is concerned, there is none here for the most part. Relentless onslaughts of powerful riffs and slamming drums make up the meat of this album, and everything is put together so to be as heavy as possible. The main thing to take from this album is that these guys are pissed as hell. If raw and angry industrial death house soundtrack just so happens to be your thing, welcome to Point Blank.
